Headmaster, Gary Sands, Ph.D.

Just to let you know a little about myself, I was born in 1970 and have been married to Mrs. Ginger Sands since May 8, 1993. We have a son, Taylor Don, who was born 12/3/1998 and a daughter, Samantha, born 12/13/2001. Ginger and I both have Bachelors degrees from Lee University and Masters degrees from the Church of God Theological Seminary, I also have a Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Greetings in Christ our Lord and Savior! Just to let you know a little about myself, my name is Trissia Eagle Montez (my friends call me Teri). I have been in the education field since 1996. I am still learning! I have two daughters, Tiffani, a freshman in college and Shelbi, a junior in High School. My hearts desire is to grow up Christian, intelligent, young men and woman for the future. The Word says, “Train up a child in the way he shall go…” It takes a whole village to raise one child. I am extremely honored to be a part of your child’s journey! I look forward to a great year in Bible and History! My door is always open.

Love & Prayers, Ms. T. E. Montez

I am a youth pastor at Mount Olive Ministry Center. I have been around kids all of my life, working with them at church camps, kids crusades, etc. I enjoy working to better the minds of kids. I believe that God has control of everything in the world and we just need to let Him take control. I was born and raised in Weatherford, Texas where I attended elementary and high school. I played on the high school football and baseball teams, as well as being active in my church youth group. I am blessed to be teaching English and Physical Education this year. I love God with all of my heart and strive to be like him with every breath I take. May God Richly Bless You! Rev. Casey Cook

God's Word says, "train up a child in the way that he should go and he will never depart from it."  I believe that encompasses our mission here at Spurling Christian Academy.  I am blessed and honored to serve our students as their Math and Science teacher.  I have been in education for 10 years.  I believe that our children are not only the generation of tomorrow, but they are the generation of today!!  I am the Math and Science teacher at Spurling.  I believe that our children learn through hands on and real application of the subjects in life.  In my classroom I combine hands on and practical learning for each and every student.  Our students are important TODAY!!!!  I am married to the most wonderful man, Eric, and together we have three of the most personality packed girls, Murissa (7), Michaela (5), and Madyson (4).  My husband and I serve as Youth Pastor's at New Life Worship Center Church of God in Waxahachie.  We are blessed to work with teenagers on a daily basis.  I am excited about the opportunity God has set before us in Waxahachie and here at Spurling Christian Academy.  May God truly be first and may we always strive to teach mind, body and soul. In His Service, Michelle Horton, Teacher, Phil. 3:14
My name is Lynn Brisson. I am the Kindergarten/Advanced K4 teacher. I have a wonderful family; my husband of 15 years is Tim and we have two boys; Travis is 9 and Jamie is 7. I also have an amazing church family here at Mount Olive Ministry Center. Our family moved to Texas 10 years ago from North Carolina. God has truly blessed us with a fantastic church and magnificent people in our lives. I love teaching and the children are a true blessing to me everyday. I pray that God blesses you all as much as he has my family. God Bless.
At the age of 25, I never expected to have fulfilled more dreams than most could imagine. I graduated high school when I was 18, in Fort Worth, Texas, then immediately went to college at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. I was a youth ministry major with a minor in music. When I came home from college, I dove straight into my teaching experience. First, teaching the special needs preschool at First Class Daycare in White Settlement, Texas, then, a year later, I moved to teaching after-school daycare at Calvary Academy in Fort Worth. I have also had the privilege to work with charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Special Olympics. I am very grateful to be teaching K3 & K4 here at Spurling Christian Academy. This is my second year here and I am excited to see what the new school year brings for all of us. Ms. Reese Cothrum
